Our objectives focused on combating childhood cancers in the African region through strategic awareness, education, and advocacy. We aimed to raise awareness about childhood cancers, highlighting the urgency of early detection and treatment to save lives. By equipping healthcare workers with the skills to engage sensitively and effectively with childhood cancer survivors and their families, we strengthened care systems. Simultaneously, we advocated for increased government and policymaker focus, urging them to prioritize and fund childhood cancer prevention and control programs. Finally, we worked to educate the general public on the causes of childhood cancer, emphasizing that many types are curable with early intervention. These efforts were critical to building a well-informed society, improving care outcomes, and ensuring robust support for affected children and their families.
