The International Organization for Migration (IOM), a leading intergovernmental organization addressing migration challenges, partnered with Sandbox to create a cutting-edge eLearning solution. The project, under the Corporate Responsibility in Eliminating Slavery and Trafficking (CREST) in Fashion initiative, aimed to promote ethical recruitment practices for migrant workers in Asia. This comprehensive learning experience integrated multimedia elements, including videos, animations, and interactive elements, ensuring a robust platform for education and awareness. Spanning multiple languages, the project reflected IOM's commitment to fostering understanding and collaboration among stakeholders in global supply chains.

Sandbox developed a 90-minute, self-paced eLearning module designed to educate businesses on ethical recruitment practices. The course, hosted on IOM's E-Campus platform, included six mixed-format videos, six animations, reflection questions, as well as pre- and post-assessments. Sandbox employed innovative techniques such as virtual expert interviews and compelling storytelling through a migrant worker’s journey. The course content was translated into six languages, including Bangla, Khmer, and Thai, to ensure accessibility. Through collaboration with IOM experts, Sandbox maintained the integrity of the technical content while producing engaging, user-friendly materials aligned with international human rights standards.

This eLearning solution has significantly advanced IOM’s mission to eliminate exploitative practices like forced labor and human trafficking. By enabling businesses to adopt ethical recruitment practices, the platform fosters a deeper understanding of migrant workers' experiences and rights. The multilingual accessibility ensures a broader reach across diverse audiences, amplifying the impact. Through immersive learning modules and actionable guidance, Sandbox has helped IOM empower organizations to create equitable workplaces, driving meaningful change in global labor practices.
